Mae Godwin | The Silent World Alternative Poster
Mae is a casual graphic designer + photographer
This is a poster for The Silent World directed by Jacques Cousteau & Louis Malle. I chose this film because I love Jacque Cousteau and depicting underwater scenes. I wanted it to feel a bit retro with a modern twist. I think it's a bit more inviting and easier to digest.
I'd definitely want to improve on the typography, and I previously had tried having tentacles or other marine animal silhouettes instead of 3 groups of fish, but couldn't figure it out without it looking too busy/unbalanced. I also think I could emphasize "The Greatest True Adventure Feature of Our Time" by introducing a new color and/or way to make it look like a sticker added on? And some grain :)
